Construction of a roundabout at Crossgates Mall will begin April 3, requiring some traffic disruptions on Crossgates Mall Road and connecting Northway ramps, the Capital District Transportation Authority announced Thursday.

CDTA is leading the effort as part of its Purple Line Project, its third bus rapid transit line.

There will also be traffic signal upgrades on Crossgates Mall Road, repaving and restriping to help with the flow of buses in and around Crossgates Mall and future developments in the area, CDTA said.

Construction will be done in phases and is expected to wrap up at the end of July. The project timeline can be found here.
