It's the season of giving, and the Blessing Brigade continues to help those in need Sunday by hosting their "Fill The Truck" event for veterans and community housing coalition and Joseph's House.

Local students and community members attended the event as a result of a mission that started five years ago and aimed to make it easier to give.

"I wouldn't be able to make a difference by myself," said Siobhan LeBlanc, director of Blessing Brigade. “The little bit everyone puts in makes a big difference to someone's life, and that is what it is all about. "The goal is to give more than to receive."

Among the donated items were clothing, household goods, toiletries and linens. In their mission to help those experiencing homelessness, the Blessing Brigade accepts donations throughout the year.
