Teachers across the Capital Region can now breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to purchasing school supplies, thanks to the partnership between the Albany County District Attorney's Office and the Victory Christian Church.

As Stephanie Dash, a teacher at Albany High School says, "Coming in and looking for what we need throughout the school year will help us a lot and we won't have to spend our own money. During these tough times, prices have doubled.”

The two entities partnered to create the Teacher Supply Center located in the Westgate Building. The partnership was formed due to the lack of adequate educational resources. As they believe, it is crucial for today's youth to have a strong foundation in order to ensure long-term success.

"Teachers are the unsung heroes," said David Soares, Albany County district attorney. "We usually think about the police. We think about the prosecutors as the ones fighting for public safety. But educating our kids is the best way to prevent public safety."
