After two years, the Capital District Scottish Games returned to the Altamont Fairgrounds.

A celebration of tradition and heritage brought families and friends together to enjoy food, drinks, pipe bands and children's activities during a day that was filled with food, fun and great food.

“I was here a few years ago, and it wasn't nearly this busy, but today it's really crowded,” event attendee Ryan Horstmyer said. “So it's great to see so many people attending.

Many spectators turned out for the sporting competitions. The caber toss, one of the most popular events among the fans, was one of the most highly anticipated events of the day.
