Horse trainer Chad Brown has been charged in Saratoga Springs with allegedly criminally obstructing breathing.
The Mechanicville native, a regular presence at Saratoga Race Course during the summer with his stable of horses, was arraigned Thursday in Saratoga city court. He pleaded not guilty.

Brown is expected back in court on September 2.
