A woman from Corinth faces criminal charges related to a head-on crash that killed another driver, Niskayuna police said Monday afternoon.

The crash involving two vehicles occurred at around 6:09 p.m. Sunday on Troy-Schenectady Road near Hickory Road, police said.

Niskayuna police officers and firefighters, as well as other emergency workers, responded to the scene.

Anne Burchhardt, 55, Glenville, was transported to Albany Medical Center, where she died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to police.

The operator of the other vehicle, Maureen Morrow, 42, of Corinth, was charged with second-degree manslaughter and reckless driving, and additional charges may be filed pending the ongoing investigation, police said.

She was treated at Ellis Hospital, police said.
