We've concluded week seven, and wow, the season has whizzed by.
But as the action nears its end, we're getting treated to some of the finest games of the year, with every down meaning just a little bit more in terms of making the playoffs and seeding.
Guilderland 17, CBA 7
It was certainly an anticipated matchup and it lived up to the hype. In the early going, it looked like CBA was going to take control and potentially run away with it. But Guilderland wouldn't give in.
Their defense was lights out as Aidan Carpenter sealed the win with a late interception.
Shenendehowa 36, Saratoga 7
Shenendehowa started strong and never looked back in a huge road win at Saratoga.
The Plainsmen are essentially in the Class AA playoffs and CBA's loss to Guilderland keeps the door open for them to land the second seed.
BH-BL 35, Niskayuna 7
First place in the Grasso Division was on the line and Burnt Hills delivered. The Spartans built a 28-0 halftime lead and never let the Silver Warriors get close.
La Salle 27, Amsterdam 26
Amsterdam with a shot to lock up the Capital Division in Class A and bounce La Sale from playoff contention, but the Cadets never gave in.
They used an awesome second half comeback to get the win following an emotional loss last week to Averill Park.
Watervliet 42, Hudson 6
Watervliet has been impressive all season long and that rang true once again. It was all Cannoneers in this one. Jamel Ward was impressive on both side as Watervliet secures the Class C South title.
