The CDTA has a new way to get things rolling for people looking to head outdoors and get around town.

The agency has launched its first fully electric scooter program in Albany, Troy and Schenectady. Similar to the CDTA's bicycle program, users will need to create a mobile app account to unlock and ride the scooters.

Riders must be at least 18 years old to scoot around the Capital Region, and obey traffic laws.

Scooters will cost $2 to unlock and 25 cents per minute to ride.

The scooters will be available through November, weather permitting.
