Tamani Wooley is an Emmy-nominated television anchor, host, reporter, and producer with more than 10 years of experience in broadcast journalism. Kicking off her career in New York City, Tamani transitioned from entertainment reporting to local news as a freelance reporter at Spectrum News’ sister station, NY1. In 2009, Tamani helped launch FiOs1 News on Long Island and in New Jersey as their breaking news reporter and fill-in anchor.
Today, Tamani is on her second stint with the Spectrum News team, proudly anchoring the daily Capital Region news and reporting on Your Morning Albany. Tamani is the host of “On the Menu,” where she enjoys leading her fellow foodies through restaurants across the region. On an almost weekly basis, Tamani runs into viewers who thank her for either covering their own restaurant or for leading them to their new favorite one! When it comes to her recommendations - she says to head to Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen for the best mac and cheese! Viewers can also catch her Saturday mornings hosting “Weekend Buzz” a half-hour show sharing fun things they can do with the family.
In her spare time, you can find Tamani spending time with friends and family or out in the community, volunteering with one of the many charities she’s involved in or catching a show at one of the local theaters.
