A former bus monitor is charged with sexually assaulting a 7-year-old child while riding on a school bus, according to Albany police.

Ynnad White, 31, of Schenectady was arrested following an investigation by detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Children and Family Services Unit, police said in a statement Monday.

White was working as a bus monitor for First Student between March 1 and June 17, when, on several occasions, he had sexual contact with a 7-year-old boy who was riding the bus, according to Albany police.

White was charged with six counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, arraigned in Albany City Court and taken to the Albany County jail, police said.
