After seeing a social media post, the ADK Club Hockey Team jumped into action by gathering hundreds of sticks and boxes filled with shoes and shirts to send to the Sierra Leone Hockey Trust, with the ultimate goal of growing the game.

The inspiration came from former University at Albany field hockey standout Fredrika Helmka and UAlbany head coach Phil Sykes, husband to ADK Club coach Jenn Sykes, who recruited the team to help out.
