New York Army National Guard troops from across the state will assist local law enforcement at President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration in Washington, D.C., this month.

More than 1,000 "citizen-soldiers" from New York will head to the nation's capital, with most being assigned to assist with crowd and traffic control, according to Colonel Richard Goldenberg, public affairs officer for the New York Army National Guard.
