“All it takes is a little creativity here, and a little creativity there,” says Christmas decorator Melik Fulton.
Every year, Fulton goes all out with Christmas decorations that adorn the outside of his Albany home.
“It is different every year,” says Fulton.
It takes him nearly a week to finish his display and he uses more than 100 decorations. There are lights, inflatable Santas, and even living plants. He says he does it all for one reason.
“I mainly do it for the kids to see a smile on their face. It is definitely irreplaceable,” said Fulton.
Fulton adds that, in these times, all the Christmas decor can be a holiday wonderland escape for the kids.
“With COVID going on, the kids don’t really know what COVID means, they just like to see the holiday decorations,” said Fulton.
Melik hopes that when if you pass by his home on Alexander Street, people will remember the true spirit of Christmas.
“Christmas is about giving. Christmas is about having fun and enjoying your family,” said Fulton.
