One person was killed in a crash Sunday night in Malta.

Officials said it happened on U.S. Route 9.

One individual was killed and another is in critical condition at Albany Medical Center.

Two others were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Route 9 in the area of Malta Drive and Hearn Road was shut down for several hours.

There is no word yet on the identity of the person killed or what caused the crash.
