Union workers at General Electric in Schenectady could be striking at any time.

It comes as members rejected a nationwide tentative contract agreement between GE and IUE-CWA.

Even though a majority of the union's members across the country approved the four-year contract,  local members in Schenectady and in Lynn, Massachusetts turned it down.

As of now, people are still being told to report to work.

GE has responded to the vote saying “we strongly believe the contract is a good package for employees, and a majority approval vote of IUE-CWA membership reflects that. GE and IUE-CWA leaders are evaluating options for moving forward.”
