A young man from Ohio came through Glenville to help protect man’s best friend as they protect and serve.
Brady Snakovsky, 9, is making it his mission to make sure all police dogs have bullet proof vests. Brady's K9 Fund has raised more than $100,000 and donated more than 80 vests to departments across the nation.
Snakovsky found his inspiration for the fundraiser after watching television.
"When I was watching the show Live PD, there was a K-9 that did not have a vest, but the officer did,” Snakovsky said. “So I asked my mom why and she told me they don't automatically get a vest."
The vests carry a price tag of about $1,200 each, and Brady's K9 Fund is preparing to help outfit the two K9s coming to the Schenectady Sheriff's Department.
