NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- A longtime top cop in Rensselaer County retired on Friday.

A walking-out ceremony was held for North Greenbush police chief Robert Durivage. He started his law enforcement career in 1989 in North Greenbush. Durivage was appointed chief in 2013.

One part of the job that he says he'll really miss is solving cases.

"We're a smaller agency, so we do a lot of tabletop brainstorming, and that was sort of my forte," Durivage said.

Durivage will be handing over the reins to David Keevern, a veteran of the North Greenbush PD.
