Another sign of reopening was announced as starting Sunday, the CDTA is returning most of its major routes to full service.

The CDTA cut back on the number of buses on the road when the state implemented stay at home orders. At the beginning of April, average weekday ridership went from 55,000 to under 25,000. Boardings have slowly inched back to over 30,000 per day.

The CDTA says it plans to return to front door boarding and will resume fare collection on all buses, which is expected to take place late this month or early next month.
