1. Hochul touts construction on new Saratoga County Airport terminal

The new terminal building under construction at Saratoga County Airport will have a waiting area, concessionaire tenant spaces, rental car lease space and a connected 20,000-square-foot hangar, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Tuesday.

2. The East Side of Buffalo 2 years after the 5/14 mass shooting

Tuesday marks two years since Buffalo was left shattered and shocked. At the time of the shooting, an 18-year-old drove from Conklin, where he’s from, three and a half hours away, to a prominently Black community on the east side of the city. As we later learned from his manifesto, he targeted the area, and its only grocery store, because of that.

3. Biden letter addresses anti-violence efforts, hope 2 years since Buffalo mass shooting

“When I spoke to your community in the days after this horrific shooting, I came to deliver a message — that our entire nation grieved with you, that we would continue to stand against violence inflicted in the service of hate, and that we would redouble our efforts to prevent tragedies like this one from happening again,” the letter reads. “Two years later, we still share our community’s sorrow. We remain steadfast in our commitment to ending all forms of racial hatred. And we are still working relentlessly to end the epidemic of gun violence that has plagued our country for too long.”

Retired Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, an expert on U.S.-Israel relations and Middle East affairs, joined Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter to discuss the civilian death toll in Gaza and the Biden administration’s decision to halt some weapons shipments to the Jewish state.

5. Analysis finds IDA deals are costing New York public schools millions annually

In 2015, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) issued new rules requiring state and local governments to disclose certain tax abatements in annual financial reports. This new requirement makes information about tax abatements at the state and local government levels available for the public to review, according to the Tax Policy Center. The organizations Good Jobs First and Reinvent Albany recently published an analysis of that public information.

6. Live Updates: Appeals court rejects Trump's latest effort to overturn gag order as Cohen continues testifying

Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen described at the ex-president's hush money trial Tuesday how his family persuaded him to finally turn against Trump after the FBI raided his office, apartment and hotel room in April 2018. Amid conversations with lawyers, including one connected to Trump loyalist Rudy Giuliani, Cohen said his wife and two children made him see how sticking by Trump was detrimental.
