5. Hunter Biden charged with federal tax, gun crimes, reaches plea deal

According to the filing, Hunter Biden is expected to plead guilty to the charges of failing to pay taxes. He has agreed to enter into a pretrial diversion agreement in connection with the charge of illegally posessing a firearm "by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance."

6. Trump classified documents trial set to begin in August

District Judge Aileen Cannon scheduled the trial to begin on Aug. 14 and run for two weeks, according to a court filing released Tuesday morning. Per the filing, the trial will be held at the U.S. District Court in Fort Pierce, Florida, and all pre-trial motions must be filed by July 24.
