Nearly four years after Aziarh Carter was shot and killed in Troy, authorities said they’ve made an arrest.

Carter, 19, and a 14-year-old were shot on Hutton Avenue around midnight in August 2015. The younger teenager suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Now D’Andre Jones, 19, has been arrested on an indictment warrant from Rensselaer County Court in connection to the shooting.

Jones, who was 16 at the time, was arrested along with three others shortly after the shooting on weapons charges.  

He was already in custody at the Franklin Correctional Facility at the time of his arrest on these new charges. He faces second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.
