Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan says she has tested positive for COVID-19.

Sheehan released a statement Monday morning saying she experienced symptoms Sunday night and tested positive Monday morning.

"... I am thankful I am fully vaccinated and boosted because as we have learned over the past two-plus years, my symptoms could be far worse," Sheehan said in the statement.

Sheehan said she'll continue to do her job virtually, while working in isolation for the next five days.
