The Capital of New York State Black Expo is happening next weekend.

The expo will take place at the Albany Capital Center next Saturday. It will be a day filled with workshops, local vendor performances and more.

Organizers say it’s a way to build community connections while celebrating the African-American experience.

And don’t be surprised if you see Spectrum News 1's JoDee Kenney or Tamani Wooley while there. They are hosting events and award shows for the expo.

All activities run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. next Saturday.
