The New York State Museum invites you to explore the history of the state through its exhibits.

Two iconic motorbikes are in the lobby from Schenectady and Voorheesville. They both highlight the importance of innovation based here in the region. The Voorheesville bike has a patent pending suspension that could change the industry. There is the popular fire truck hall exhibit with trucks dating back to the 1700's.

Visitors can also see the 9/11 exhibit, a homage to Sesame Street and ride the 110-year-old carousel.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday. Admission is free. For more information, you can visit the New York State Museum Facebook page.
