The third Big G Classic community weekend is hitting the basketball courts at Washington Park this weekend. Pre-registered teams compete in different categories for championship trophies and a cash prize.
There will be live music, food and business vendors, free haircuts for kids and more.
Brothers Marquis and Gerald Campbell Jr., founded the tournament in honor of their dad Gerald, a longtime city of Albany resident and worker who passed away in 2020. They say the weekend encompasses his spirit of reaching out to kids and giving back to the community.
It’s free to attend the Big G Classic. It starts at 9 a.m. For more information head to the Big G Classic Facebook or Instagram page.
