BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Common Council has approved the transfer of $718,000 to cover the bill leftover from the November snow storm. The money comes from areas like city buildings, streets and health insurance for retirees.

Common Council Member Rasheed Wyatt says that if the city gets federal or state aid because of the storm, it will return funds to where they were removed.

The total cost of snow removal from the storm was $978,850, far more than the $260,000 budgeted for subcontractors in the city's 2022-2023 snow removal plan.
