ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Saturday marked the first open practice for the Buffalo Bills Training Camp at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. The team announced that there were 15,000 fans in attendance.
Last year, fans were sidelined due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and had to watch games virtually for an entire season. Now, they’re ecstatic to once again be able to cheer on their team and their favorite players in person.
Julian Colon was one of the fans rooting for the team on Saturday. He is a father of three with one on the way, and says that he will raise his kids to support the Bills from day one.
“My father has been bringing me since I was little, since I can remember…back in the day when I was going to kids’ day,” Colon said. “Now I’m a father of my own. I can’t wait to bring my own children here.”
When asking fans about their season perditions, many fans echoed Janice Mouw’s thoughts. She is diehard after all, being a season ticket since 1985.
“They’re going to the Super Bowl,” Mouw said. “They’re going to win the Super Bowl.”
With the season approaching, fans are getting ready with their hands waving in the air, making up football dances, and supporting the Bills every step of the way.
The next training camp practice open to the public is Saturday, August 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. A mobile ticket is required for all fans that want to come in and watch the practice for free, which you can find on the team's website.
All practice times are subject to change and all seating is general admission.
Unvaccinated guests must wear a mask at all times.
