BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's been seven weeks since Bills fans came out to support Josh Allen by donating in his grandmother's memory. And donations are still rolling in.
Oishei Children's Hospital says Buffalo native Sue McCollum donated $217,000 to the Patricia Allen Fund, while Labatt USA donated $17,000, bringing the total to over $1 million.
McCollum is the owner and CEO of two Anheuser-Busch distributors in South Florida, Eagle Brands Sales and Double Eagle Distributing, and also the CEO of Major Brands, a Missouri-based wine and spirits wholesaler.
Bills fans began their charitable campaign after Allen's grandmother died in early November.
In just the first two weeks, 27,000 people had donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Oishei.
The hospital later announced it plans to name part of its 10th floor the Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing.
Oishei also started the Patricia Allen fund to support the hospital's pediatric critical care team.
