A SUNY Oneonta student tragically passed away last Thursday night, and now police are asking for the public's help in seeking answers.
Police say city employees found Tyler Lopresti-Castro laying by the Silas Lane Bus Garage last week where he suffered from freezing, subzero degree temperatures.
He later died that evening.
Investigators say they are unsure of Castro's whereabouts before arriving to the scene, and are now running a forensic analysis.
That will include going through social media accounts, IP addresses and a series of interviews, police say.
Officials ask any surrounding areas with surveillance systems to check the time-frame from midnight until 2:15 a.m. on January 27.
Anyone with information or tips are asked to call the city of Oneonta Police Department at (607) 432-1111.
