An additional four people have been arrested in connection to a deadly stabbing in Broome County last week.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Brian J. Adams Jr., Christopher A. Lane, Thomas J. Hayward, and Noah B. Beauparlant, all 18 years of age, were charged with hindering prosecution, a class D felony, for rendering criminal assistance to Caleb Casteline.

Casteline, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Officials said Q-Quan Richardson, 22, was stabbed in the torso at an outdoor party on Robinson Hill Road in Union. Deputies say it happened just after 1:40 a.m. He later died at the hospital.

The stabbing allegedly occured after Richardson got into a fight.

Broome County deputies said they arrested Casteline last Wednesday night at a home on Main Street in Apalachin.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office has had similar issues before.

"Now this area has been a problem for us, and the neighbors, because sometimes they have groups over 200 people up there. And you never know when it's going to occur. And in fact, we have an overtime detail that goes there, and actually last night, they did not go. They were supposed to go; they're going to go tonight," said Broome County Sheriff David Harder.
