It's another wet start to the week for central North Carolina.   This Monday is a bit different from last week though when widespread severe weather moved across North Carolina.   This Monday the threat for strong storm is mainly for locations in southeastern North Carolina.

The greatest threat for a severe storm capable of producing damaging wind gusts or even isolated tornado will be confined near the coast through midday.  However, a few strong storms cannot be ruled out in the Sandhills during the morning.

Everyone will see rain for most of the morning that should taper off through the afternoon.   Temperatures may hold in the 50s for much of the day in the Triangle.   Late day clearing should allow highs to warm to the low 60s in the Triangle and the mid 60s in the Sandhills by around 6pm.

Tuesday will bring a partly cloudy and breezy day.   A cold front passing thorugh the state will bring a slight chance for an afternoon shower, but most of the day will be dry with highs in the 70s.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.

Yet another storm system is set to move toward the state on Thursday though.  We will all have to watch this one for the potential for locally heavy rain and even strong storms Thursday afternoon and Thursday night.
