It comes one day before a lawsuit challenging the program and protections for pre-existing conditions will be heard in federal court.

Goodwin and concerned North Carolinians will be talking about the impacts of the lawsuit and what he calls Senator Thom Tillis' inaction to stop it.

According to media outlets, if the law is wiped out it would impact insurance for 20 million people with pre-existing conditions, subsidies for folks with low income, and Medicaid expansion and coverage for young adults.

That news conference is happening today at 3 p.m. outside of Senator Tillis' office in Raleigh.
