DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina have arrested a man in a city's fourth fatal shooting within a week.

Durham police say in a news release that its officers responded to a call of a shooting on Monday afternoon.

When they arrived, they found 46-year-old Marquin Alonso Padilla with a gunshot wound.

Padilla was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The news release says police arrested 23-year-old Luis Benavides of Durham and charged him with murder.

Benavides is in the Durham County jail without bond.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reports it's the fourth fatal shooting in Durham since Thursday.
