High pressure remains dominate over our region and that will allow for dry and sunny conditions to continues. The one difference in our weather compared to the past few days will be the temperature. Expect warmer afternoon highs due to southerly winds. The warmer air flow today is due to the high drifting offshore. Highs today will range from the low to upper 80s, with the warmest temperatures expected to be down in the Sandhills.

We'll move through a warming trend through the weekend into the workweek. Highs will eventually be in the ballpark of 90 degrees by Monday which is the official beginning of Fall. Our Summer-like start to Fall is a sign of things to come. Most of the upcoming workweek will feature highs slightly above average.

A cold front will look to track through the area Tuesday, but will limited moisture rain chances are bleak at best. We'll likely have a few more clouds in the sky Tuesday but significant rainfall is not expected with this cold front.
