LUMBERTON, N.C. -- The city of Lumberton is getting a bit of an economic boost this week.

  • 390 players, their coaches and families, and around 2,000 people in total have descended to the community.

  • Officials aren't certain about the economic impact, but they say that last year when they hosted the Division I World Series, between $2,000,000 to $4,000,000 was pumped into the local economy.
