Work will soon begin on a new skateboarding site at Rowan Street Park. The skateboard facility was a part of a Parks and Recreation bond referendum that was passed by voters in 2017.

A temporary skating ramp was set up at the park after the groundbreaking ceremony so folks could get a preview of what they would see when the new facility opens up.

About a million dollars was allocated for this site through the bond referendum. It is expected that the project will be finished by late this fall.
