RALEIGH, N.C. -- After another stormy Friday, calmer weather is in the forecast for the weekend.

We saw an active weather afternoon on Friday as a cold front crossed the area. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed and a few severe thunderstorm warnings were issued.

The good news in the weather world is that we'll see a quieter weather pattern which will develop tonight and continue into Saturday and Sunday.

Skies will continue to clear through the night and any chance for a sprinkle or light shower will end.

Look for lots of sunshine on Saturday with near normal afternoon highs along with breezy conditions.

A system will move into North Carolina on Sunday.  As it does, it will produce some clouds and it might trigger a couple of sprinkles.  Behind that system, we will have sunshine in the forecast for the start of the new week.
