According to the Nash County Sheriff's Office, officers took Laquaris Battle into custody early Sunday morning in Hardeeville, South Carolina, during a traffic stop.
A woman, who authorities say was possibly the mother of Battle's child, was driving the car. Another man was also in the car and was charged with possession of cocaine and carrying an open container of alcohol.
Authorities say both the woman and man in the car with Battle will be charged with harboring a fugitive. Authorities also say there was speculation that the three of them were headed to Miami, Florida.
Officers caught the four other inmates on March 26. Nash Co. Sheriff Keith Stone said they the jail break was planned and that the inmates had help from the outside.
Battle will return to Nash County on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
Now, a county committee has one goal; improving the conditions at the jail to prevent something like this from ever happening again.
