WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. – A 3-year-old in Wayne County is recovering after being shot in the head.

• Jaxson Price is alert, active, and recovering.
• He was shot in the head on Saturday.
• The incident appears to have been accidental. 

According to a GoFundMe, Jaxson Price is alert and able to participate physical therapy.

Price was found with a gunshot wound to the head at his home on Saturday.

It appears that he accidentally shot himself while in his parents’ room.

He was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he is currently recovering. 

A source close to the family has organized a GoFundMe page to assist Jaxson's family during his recovery.

They are also asking for thoughts and prayers.
