After two days of wintry weather, the sun finally made a comeback across North Carolina on Tuesday.

High pressure building into the state led to temperatures above freezing along with sunshine that helped melt away some of the snow and ice.

There are still slick spots on area roads, especially secondary roads and neighborhood streets. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from the Triangle, north and west until Wednesday at 11 a.m. due to possible hazardous driving conditions.

After a cold start to our Wednesday, we'll see a few clouds with highs once again well above freezing.

More clouds will move into the area on Thursday along with milder afternoon temperatures.

By Friday, a new low pressure system will bring the region a new chance for rain.
