Another round of winter weather for most of western North Carolina into far northern sections central and east.  For the rest of us, another cold rain expected for much of Saturday.

Some snowfall totals in North Carolina . . .  so far:

·         18” – Cashiers, Jackson County

·         11” – Flat Rock, Henderson County

·         10” – Little Switzerland, McDowell County

·         6” – Walnut Cove, Stokes County

·         5.5” – Boone

·         4” – Sparta

·         4 - 5.5” – Forsyth County

·         3” – Vance County

·         1.8” – Piedmont Triad International Airport

·         0.5” – Durham County

·         0.3” - RDU

Another  1-2” is possible from Vance County towards the Triad. Many areas will see the rain end as snow flurries or snow showers across northern sections of central and eastern parts of the state.

Another push of cold air arrives overnight to help clear our skies and make way for a sunny but chilly Sunday. Expect highs from the upper 30s to mid 40s.

A cold start to the work week Monday morning, then a short warm-up before the next push of cold air that arrives by Wednesday.
