MOORE COUNTY, N.C. -- Anthony B. McCauley feels he's got a special calling in his life.

  • He tries to be a mentor to about 20 young kids and teenagers
  • Twice a week, he and other community leaders, meet with those kids and give lessons on things like intergrity, being open minded, and the importance of education
  • He hopes to eventually expand his non-profit group into other communities and possibly some places out of state

He tries to be a mentor to about 20 young kids and teenagers through his special program, Males of Distinction.

Twice a week, he and other community leaders, meet with those kids and give lessons on things like intergrity, being open minded, the importance of education and other life lessons.

"I want these young men to recognize that they have purpose for their life. The fact that young men are dealing with so many other avenues today that are dealing with peer pressure, " he said.

He is also the author of five books. And he hopes to eventually expand his non-profit group into other communities and possibly some places out of state.
