WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- While there are no coronavirus cases in Forsyth County at this point, the City of Winston-Salem is preparing anyway.

Health officials, school districts, and first responders are having inter-agency meetings to share information and updates on the virus.

They urge the public to stay calm and do simple things to try and stay healthy.

“Practices like we should be practicing all the time for any other illness,” said Joshua Swift, Public Health Director for Forsyth County Department of Public Health. “Good handwashing, cough etiquette, make sure you cough into your arm or a tissue then replace that tissue. Sneeze into your elbow and then stay at home when you’re sick.’
