Another sunny and mild day with low relative humidity will allow dangerous fire weather conditions to remain. The air quality will remain poor for communities near fires that are not contained.

Highs this afternoon will warm into the upper 60s in the foothills and around 60 degrees in the high country.

Ahead of a cold front, scattered showers are possible initially in the mountains around midnight and continuing through the morning commute. Rainfall amounts will be up to a tenth of an inch.

The dry air reestablishes with the potential of additional fire weather issues afterward.
