An Amber Alert was issued for a 3-year-old girl in Boiling Lakes, North Carolina Monday night. Authorities canceled the alert at about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said they were searching for the girl, described as being around 3 feet tall and 37 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The girl was believed to be with her grandmother, 49-year-old Jamie Lee Marlow, according to officials.

Authorities believe the two left the South Shore Drive area of Boiling Lakes, in the southeastern corner of the state, around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

No other details have been released regarding the cancellation.
