After a day of warmth and showers Tuesday, high pressure will bring the return of chilly sunshine Wednesday. Highs will be back below seasonable norms, with temperatures only set to top off in the 40s and low 50s.

Clear and cold conditions continue overnight into Thursday as a reinforcing shot of cold air moves in. This will lead to a morning in the mid and upper 20s Thursday with an even cooler day, as highs should only top off in the 40s across the area.

Temperatures begin to warm Friday and into the weekend as we turn our eyes to a system moving towards us from the south. This may bring a few showers back to the area Sunday into Monday.

Looking a week ahead, Christmas Day is looking dry and warm for now, with highs in the nid 60s!
