ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. -- A Jacksonville woman is asking the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old arctic wolf.
The animal reportedly went missing on June 7.
According to the owner, Lisa Meredith, the wolf is not aggressive and will not attack.
Meredith used to animal to educate people about wolves as part of her nonprofit, the Meredith Wolf Education and Conservation Den.
Buster, the wolf missing, is one of two wolves she had at the site.
Meredith says there is misinformation going around online about the wolf killing local pets and to not believe these reports.
Those wishing to report a sighting should call non emergency Dispatch, who will notify the proper agencies.
If you see the animal, you are encourage to not attempt to capture, chase, corner or corral the wolf.
Don't bait or attempt to feed the wolf and do not attempt to shoot, kill or poison the wolf either.
