Donna Hammonds,  the Onslow County Tourism Manager says missing out on tourist dollars is expensive, so the project is a must do right now.

“Its very important to get those beach accesses back online and ready for the tourist season because not only do we have the folks that come down and stay for the week, and vacation and contribute to visitor spending here in Onslow County, but also the drive in market.  Folks that drive in from Duplin County, New Hanover and Pender county that come to North Topsail Beach. Those dollars are also very important and having those access open for tourist season is a must here in Onslow County.”
