1. ICE announces arrests of 422 undocumented immigrants and deportations of 528 immigrants in Houston

A seven-day U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation led to the arrest of 422 undocumented immigrants and the deportation of 528 immigrants.

The operation took place as a weeklong operation in the Houston area.

2. Dallas Mavericks win the NBA draft lottery and the chance to pick Cooper Flagg No. 1 overall

The Mavericks won the NBA draft lottery on Monday night, giving them the No. 1 pick in next month's draft — and the first chance to take Cooper Flagg, the freshman who led Duke to the Final Four in his lone college season and the consensus player of the year.

5. Dallas Cowboys take on Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day

The Dallas Cowboys playing on Thanksgiving Day is a long-standing NFL tradition, and this year’s opponent has been announced. The Chiefs, who went for a Super Bowl 3-peat, but fell short this past season, are coming to Arlington, Texas this holiday season.

6. ‘The Ted Cruz Curse’: New resolution aims to ban Cruz from attending Texas sporting events

According to Chron, a resolution has been filed by Harris County Democratic Party precinct chairs Bill Kelly and Charles Kuffner to try to keep the “Ted Cruz Curse” out of state sporting events.

Sen. Ted Cruz’s attendance at sporting events has coincided with losses for the home team on many occasions. Sports fans have nicknamed the phenomenon of him attending losing games the “Ted Cruz Curse.”
