It stays cool and cloudy across much of New England this week with below normal temperatures and only brief peeks of sun.

It will be chilly again tonight. Overnight lows fall into the mid-40s with light winds from the east.

Cloudy and gloomy conditions continue Wednesday. Onshore winds could bring some sprinkles and patchy drizzle as highs top out around the mid-50s.

Higher rain chances return late week as a late-season nor’easter brings cold rain and gusty winds. The system brings rain and gusty winds to New England Thursday and early Friday with temperatures dropping 10 to 20 degrees below normal. Highs will only be in the 50s and 60s.

Scattered showers linger late Friday into the weekend, but main impacts are likely late Thursday and early Friday.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures return Sunday into Memorial Day.
